Local artist and animal lover Carolyn Avalos is pleased to announce a major art benefit to raise funds for Butterfly Field Farm Sanctuary. Butterfly Field Farm Sanctuary recently received donations from sales of Carolyn's paintings where they were on display at Goose Creek Studio in Bedford. There were five initial paintings placed for display at the gallery and all were sold -- with all monies from the artist's share of the sales donated to local animal rescues.
Based on that success, Carolyn began planning the art benefit to feature Butterfly Field Farm Sanctuary and has created a diverse selection of paintings for display with a range of pricing options. The paintings will range from small works to large abstract canvases, depending on the amount of the donation. Thus, the animal rescue benefit will raise money for Butterfly Field Farm Sanctuary, and those who make a donation will leave with a memorable piece of art.
The in-house event is slated for July 31 and will provide several of the noted artist's works. Attendees will receive a painting of their choice, within a certain category of pricing, when they make a donation. Donations will go directly to the sanctuary. Ted and Tara will join the artist during the event to talk about Butterfly Field Farm Sanctuary.
For over 20 years, Avalos has been active in animal rescue communities in both Staunton, VA. and Bedford, VA., and she hopes the art benefit will not only raise money for the farm animal sanctuary but also build public awareness for the enormous work done by Bedford animal rescue groups.
Whether caretaking, feeding, spay/neuter, adoption or foster care, local rescues do a terrific community service for animals and their extended humans.
The art benefit will raise funds for Butterfly Field Farm Sanctuary -- in particular, those with special needs. As Kamprath explains: "We have also taken in special needs animals starting with our two blind black Angus steer. But we cannot do this alone and depend on the generosity of others. From financial support to our volunteers, it is a team effort to give these precious souls their best life."
The address for the gallery-style art display is 1210 Oakwood Street, Bedford. The event will be from 9:00 to 2:00 on Saturday, July 31st. To view the artist: http://www.carolynavalos.com
